Your
responsibilities

• Implement customizations to the retail billing system and related downstream applications in Perl, Java, SQL, and configuration
• Clarify and refine requirements with the stakeholders
• Avoid and reduce technical debt
• Integrate software components into the build pipeline
• Continuously improve the code quality through reviews and testing
• Contribute to the agile mindset of the company by upholding the values of commitment, courage, respect, focus and openness

Your
Profile

• Software engineering skills (analyze, design, develop and test)
• Knowledge of Java, Linux and basic understanding of Perl
• Knowledge of stream-processing (e.g. Kafka), containers (e.g. podman), and frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot)
• Solid working knowledge of relational databases (preferably Oracle)
• Some experience in defining and applying design standards and patterns
• Experience and understanding in API management and web services (XML)
• Have fun with a high availability and real-time processing environment
• Familiar with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence)
• Be curious about billing applications (e.g. Singleview)
• Solid skills in English and German in speech and writing

information

• Salery: starting at € 2.556,- gross / month, over-payment based on qualification and experience, equivalent offered for contractors (declaration according to §9. Abs. 2 Equal Treatment Act)
